Professional Bio
Poulami was born in India and completed her bachelor’s and master’s in chemistry from St. Xavier’s College, and IIT Delhi respectively. She then worked as a Research Associate investigating photophysical behavior for artificial photosynthesis and bio-sensing. She joined Michigan State University’ PhD program in 2011 and designed novel semiconductor nanomaterials for optoelectronic devices. She obtained her PhD in 2016 and joined Dow in Freeport, Texas.
She currently works in Analytical Science, R&D solving complex inorganic challenges with advanced X-Ray Fluorescence, Diffraction and Absorption techniques for Polyurethane, Hydrocarbons, Plastics, Silicones and Oil & Gas products. She has developed various innovative capabilities for Dow’s global M&E operations.
Poulami lives in Pearland with her husband and two kids. She loves to garden, keep her kids happily busy with art, craft & STEM experiments, cook Indian cuisines and travel.
