Professional Bio
Irene Thong is the Senior Director for Information Technology and Project Management at Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible and specialty rigid packaging with a global footprint. She leads global IT, Cybersecurity, and Enterprise Project Management, driving Printpack’s digital transformation journey to enhance efficiency, agility, and overall business performance.
With a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration, Irene combines technical expertise with strategic leadership. Over her 25-year career in manufacturing, she has successfully managed projects totaling over one billion dollars. Irene is also dedicated to talent and leadership development, earning recognition as Pathbuilder’s Mentor of the Year for her impact in mentorship.
Currently, Irene is pursuing a Doctorate in Technology at Purdue University, where her research focuses on Inclusive Technology Leadership. Her work reflects a commitment to fostering equitable leadership practices that drive collaboration and growth across organizations.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Irene enjoys musical performances, sports, and traveling. She and her family reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
