Katie Newell, Benefits Consultant | Lead Strategist
Katie Newell is a passionate advocate for the health, wealth, and safety of employees here in the US and globally. She started her career as a workers compensation underwriter working with Colorado-based key accounts and quickly developed an understanding that proactive injury prevention and cost-containment strategies ultimately impacted a company’s bottom line. That core understanding around the total cost of risk (TCOR) evolved as Katie worked nationally helping companies solve for key cost drivers, such as muscular skeletal injuries, and chronic disease management. Working with leaders to remove traditional silos between risk management and human resources, she advocates for employees from a holistic perspective and helps drive key metrics around turnover and engagement. Katie has had the opportunity to speak nationally and internationally on Total Worker Health and Wellbeing.
Katie was raised in Colorado and has her BA from University of Northern Colorado. She is also certified in Self-Funding.
