Professional Bio
With over 17 years of experience, Karissa has worked with an array of privately held companies and has expertise with global audits, business combinations, complex consolidations and other technical accounting topics. Her industry experience includes consumer and industrial manufacturing companies, distributors and employee benefit plan audits in accordance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
Karissa’s responsibilities include the planning and development of the overall audit approach, as well as implementing that approach, supervising and training the audit engagement staff and serving as a business resource to her clients. In addition to her client service role, Karissa is involved in recruiting and interviewing top talent for the RSM team, facilitating training programs sponsored by the firm, serving as an advisor to junior professionals in their career development and involved in a national program to set policies and procedures for employee benefit plan audits.
