Founded in Berlin in 1889, this pioneering company for measurement and control technology looks back on a long tradition. HEIDENHAIN, located in Traunreut in southern Bavaria, now offers products and solutions for industries such as machine tools, automation, electronics, robotics, elevators, and medical technology.
Demanding positioning tasks in these industries are our mission, and accuracy is our passion. Research and development are part of our DNA, with many of our employees devoted to the continual development of advanced technologies. A double-digit percentage of our revenues is invested in R&D throughout the
Corporate Group.
Around 8600 employees worldwide work to advance our customers within their markets. HEIDENHAIN is an international company with its own sales agencies, service agencies, subsidiaries, and distributor networks. Key brands serving our core industries are AMO, ETEL, NUMERIK JENA, and RSF.
HEIDENHAIN Corporation: Customer first in North America
In 1965, the North American subsidiary of HEIDENHAIN opened in Niles, IL, serving as an outlet for the brilliant motion control innovations coming out of labs in Germany. Today, the North American headquarters are housed in a state-of-the-art facility in Schaumburg, just west of Chicago.
Our expansive technology center employs more than 150. We represent all of HEIDENHAIN’s core brands, and provide invaluable service and actionable know-how for each to the North American market. Schaumburg plays host to all types of technical training. It’s also home to ACU-RITE production and the ACU-RITE Technology Education Center (ATEC).
Our team has seen every motion control challenge there is out there. We’re standing by to make your life a little easier and help find the solution that fits just right for your project.
