Professional Bio
Christy Rogers is former in-house Senior Employment Counsel for Michelin North America, Inc., a Fortune 500 Company, and is now a shareholder at Saxton & Stump where she focuses her practice on Labor and Employment. She represents employers, including manufacturers, in a wide range of employment-related matters and litigation, offering practical, business-minded counsel grounded in both her law firm and in-house experience in the manufacturing sector.
Among other employment-relates issues, Christy advises clients on matters involving:
Discrimination, harassment and retaliation
Medical leave and disability accommodations
Hiring, discipline and termination
Compliance with federal and state employment laws
Noncompete agreements and trade secret disputes
Employment-related litigation, including ADA website claims
Her peers and the legal community have recognized Christy for her excellence in practice. In 2025, she was named to Best Lawyers in America® for Litigation – Labor and Employment and selected to the South Carolina Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list from 2021 through 2024. She was also included in the Legal Elite of South Carolina in 2020, 2022, and 2024. She is also a member of the John Belton O'Neill Inn of Court.
She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she served as the first female chief justice of the Mock Trial Bar and received the bronze Compleat Lawyer Award for ethics, competence, and integrity. After law school she clerked for Senior U.S. District Judge Joseph F. Anderson, Jr. She holds a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Clemson University and began her legal career as a litigation paralegal before attending law school.
Christy is admitted to practice in South Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
